This is the last Canon AE-1 in my extensive collection. I've always enjoyed the pro-black version of the AE-1, and this one is a gem. It's super clean and shiny, and it still looks new. The lens and body are in mint condition. If I'm being picky, there is a slight depression on the camera's left side on the baseplate; otherwise, there are no other significant marks or scratches.
The books are also in mint new condition. The original Canon strap shows some use, but it's complete and excellent overall.
*The Canon AE-1 can be used in shutter priority auto exposure (AE)
(you set the speed, and the camera sets the aperture), or in full manual mode.

Eight different Canon Speedlites can be used with the AE-1.
The lens operates as designed. The focus is smooth and accurate. The aperture blades
are snappy and oil-free, and the lens mounts securely. Some very minor dust specs are inside, but that's typical for a vintage lens and won't affect the final image.
Film tested. The shutter is accurate, the film advance lever is smooth, and all
levers and knobs work perfectly. The built-in light meter is accurate. The viewfinder is bright and clear.
I've installed new light seals and a new foam mirror pad.
